Meet Dr. Jeevan Bains
Dr. Jeevan Bains did not build Bains Dentistry around procedures. He built it around people. Individuals and families across San Antonio trust him because he earns that trust every visit by listening before he recommends, explaining before he treats, and making sure the person in the chair feels like a partner in their own care, not just a patient. For Dr. Bains, achieving a healthy smile is important, but building lasting relationships with patients is equally important.
Dr. Bains’ goal is to provide reliable, high-quality dentistry using modern technology tailored to each patient’s individual dental needs.
Dr. Bains’ Background
Dr. Jeevan Bains was born in the United Kingdom but moved with his family to St. Charles, Illinois, where he grew up and attended high school. He completed his undergraduate studies at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, and subsequently received his dental training at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
Shortly after completing his dental training, Dr. Bains moved to Texas to explore his love of warmer weather, Tex-Mex, and Hispanic culture. He joined a private practice in El Paso, where he practiced for a few years before relocating to San Antonio. Although his heart still remains in Chicago, he was ultimately drawn to San Antonio’s family-friendly community and the warmth the city has provided. He has since decided to call San Antonio home.
Why Dr. Bains Became a Dentist
Dr. Bains’ decision to become a dentist was influenced by his early interest in taking electronics apart and improving their internal components. From a young age, he was fascinated by learning how individual components work together to create something. Being able to see objectively that his work had made an immediate difference was always rewarding to him.
What Dr. Bains enjoys most about dentistry is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Sometimes that means relieving pain. Sometimes it means helping someone feel more confident about their smile. Other times, it means helping a patient who has been nervous about dentistry finally feel comfortable in the dental chair.

Dr. Bains takes a conservative, patient-first approach to dentistry. Before recommending treatment, he wants every patient to understand their options, why treatment may be beneficial, and what they can expect throughout the process.
